OUR SCHOOL MANAGEMENT TEAM

CONGREGATION BOARD MANAGEMENT (CBM)

The Congregation Board Management(CBM) is a management team in the PCEA Kahawa Sukari church and has been set to govern all the major activities that pertain to the church and Sukari Presbyterian Academy(SPA) school. This is because our school is a project of the PCEA Kahawa Sukari church. The CBM ensures that all the projects that have been envisioned by either the school, or the church, or both are fully implemented. It however does not deal directly with the school but has set sub committees that report to them.

The CBM works closely with the session. It is another body in the church that supervises the CBM’s operation. The session consists of all the church elders and the Parish Minister. The management team consists of 4 members who make up an office. This team is changed after every three years or retained and this depends on the terms of service .The current management team comprises of four very dedicated members.

OUR SCHOOL BOARD OF MANAGEMENT (BOM)

The School BOM is the school management team that deals directly with issues that pertain to the school. This team is responsible for;

  • Setting the vision and mission of the school,
  • Overseeing the implementation of school policies
  • Monitoring yearly financial budgets.

The school BOM reports to the CBM team who determine the direction any decision should take. The BOM also looks into the needs of the school staff and are able to deal with their needs appropriately. In special occasions such as prize giving days and thanksgiving ceremonies, the school BOM members avail themselves to represent the school in cases where guest speakers have been invited. In case of any incident that happens regarding any member of the school, it is the duty of the school BOM to oversee the matter and decide appropriately.

THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The organizational structure in our school consists of the teaching and non-teaching staff. The teaching staff consists of around 51 permanent teachers and 11 reliever teachers all of whom are well certified. The non teaching staff add up to 57 consisting of the accountant, facility supervisor, kitchen staff, cleaners, landscapers, bus drivers, bus attendants and the guards.

All the individuals in the organizational structure ensure that all the school services run smoothly and the pupils are well taken care of. The teachers ensure that classes run smoothly and the progress of the pupils is evident. The non-teaching staff take care of all the roles related to helping the pupils have a good learning environment.
